Description
Redesign of the deLiA's clothing website I did for my Multimedia Production course.
For this project we worked in groups to redesign a retail website making the e-commerce shopping process more fluid and usable by eliminating the number of pages and steps that one has to go through to buy a product.
The demographics for the site were female teenagers, ages of 12-25, from mostly suburban areas, and in a middle to upper-class income bracket. Their competitors were other trendy teenage clothing stores like Alloy, Wet Seal and Purpleskirt.
We determined the original homepage was to compact and limiting, making it hard for users to read and navigate, while wasting valuable web space, so enlarged the site. We also came up with a new color palette that was a little more updated and added a seasonal photo/sale advetisement on the homepage.To test the usability and fluidity of the redesign we also did user testing.
