Grandparent's 50th Anniversary Accordion Book
Interior Spread 1

Description
Accordion book I designed and produced for my Grandparent's 50th Anniversary present as a part of a project in my Book Arts course at the College of Visual Arts (CVA).

The goal of this Book Arts project was to create and bind a digital book. Because I was working on the printed matter, invitations, thank yous, maps, etc., for my grandparent's anniversary party, I had some great photographs and articles from their wedding. For the book I arranged these photographs in chronologicial order and interspersed some song lyrics that were special to them and some poems I found about love, marriage, family and anniversaries online inbetween the photographs. The structure of the accordion book was a bit wonky for a book of its size and length, but since my grandparents love polka music, and the accordion is a big part of polka music, the structure was very appropriate.
