Letterform Construction Exercise
Part 1- Baskeville Study

Description
This typography exercise had two different parts to it.

First, we explored shapes of the first letter of our name in two different typefaces by printing the letters out to size, carefully tracing the letters and measuring the parts of the letters to determine size relationships and ratios of the different parts of the letter. The first letter of my name is ‘K’ and I picked the typefaces Baskerville and Universe to study.

Second, we morphed the letterforms together, using our findings from the first part of the exercise, to create a hybrid letter or baby letter from the two letterforms.
