Description
The goal of the exercise was to create a type manifesto for ourselves and set
it into an Ex Libras, which is Latin for ‘Book Plate.’
As part of my type manifesto I stated: "handwritten type is beautiful and has a quality that you can’t get from computer typefaces because of the variation, however computer type may be more legible." While I was writing notes for an exam in the tiniest type possible, as to fit all the information on a 8½" x 11" sheet of paper, I realized that the sheet had aesthetic value and seemed to fit with this part of my type manifesto. So for the Ex Libras I scanned in these notes and typeset my manifesto in a computer typeface of a similar size as a visual representation of this statement.
