Mixed Media Piece
Description
This piece was the result of an assignment to study negative space buy first drawing the negative space from a still life of plants, then cutting out the shapes made by the negative space and then coloring and repositioning the shapes in the proper places on another page. Instead I decided to use the leftover positive space paper from the cutouts as a frame to create a stained glass piece from buy replacing the white negative spaces with different colored tissue paper. I created the stained glass look by using fabric paint on the leftover positive space paper that the colored tissue paper was glued onto.
