Description
This drawing was the result of a mid-term figure drawing test in which we had a longer period of time to draw a nude model in order to showcase what we'd learned so far about figure drawing. This was when I really discovered my own way of shading, which is a combination of gesture and cross hatch techniques that I'd learned in the course. Since I didn't like drawing with charcoal, this technique worked far better for me with the materials that I enjoyed drawing with: charcoal pencils, conté crayons and chalk pastels.
