Description
Jenniges Family Almanac Series of Books that I
designed and produced for my final project in my
Introduction to Book Arts course.

For this project we were required to design a book
or series of books and bind them using some kind
of book structure.

At the time I had weekly meetings with my relatives
to discuss and plan for my grandparent’s 50th Wedding Anniversary and my family kept coming up with funny and strange customs and stories that our family had or has. So, I decided to record these strange customs,
stories, etc. and used them as the subject matter for a series of books.

Each book, which I bound using the pamphlet stitch technique that I’d learned in this course, represented
one category of strange customs such as: family recipes,
funny phrases, or strange definitions. In each book I intentionally left room for more things to be added because my family is always developing new strange customs. I called the series the Jenniges Family Almanac because it's based off of my fathers side of the family, which is headed by my Grandparent's and Great Grandparents whose last name is or was Jenniges.
